I absolutely love Nigella Lawson. Her incredible sensuality and succulent vocabulary for food is die for. So when she talks about "pools of chocolate" and the gooey goodness hidden under a carapace (of crisp cake)- I AM SOLD. Ladies night would never be the same again for us BFFs who were enjoying the accommodations of a lovely girlfriend's shiny new kitchen.

We were doing it wrong obviously! The absence of ramekins have led us to improvise with tiny cupcake and loaf tins. The result is generally the same (with the loaf tins) but what you get isn't exactly as romantic and not as properly portioned as when you divide the liquid love into individual pots. But oh God, it is everything Nigella has promised and it is excessively rich. I'd be ridden with guilt but honestly- NEVER. IT JUST CAN'T BE DONE. I am in love. Plus points since we feasted on this with a tall glass of milk. It was an experience that was absolutely to die for.

The loaf tin 'pots' were devoured before it was photographed. They came out thick, velvety and positively sinful. But here's a photo anyway for others to learn from our mistakes. If your pots look like this, you've overcooked it. You want a thick liquid consistency.
Ingredients:To note, we doubled her recipe to accommodate another 5 mouths. It is in my good opinion that this is TOO SWEET after doing so. When using semi-sweet chocolate chips I'd suggest reducing the sugar by half and probably keep the amount of sugar as is when using chocolate that is 80% in cocoa solids.
3/4 cup semi sweet chocolate/ any dark chocolate with 60% solids
2 eggs
3/4 cup sugar
3 tbs flour
Pre-heat oven at 400F. Melt chocolate and butter together ontop a stove. On a separate bowl whisk the eggs sugar and flour. Fold the chocolate into the mixture. Divide this among four greased ramekins. Bake until the crust flakes (roughly 15-20 minutes)

These are incredibly easy and fun to make. Our kitchen party is hardly anywhere near the status of domestic goddesses but you don't have to be to come out alive with perfect chocolates.
